Bringing language learning to life: Employers
Businesses tell us that they need language skills - for all languages at all levels of ability - in order to be able to work productively and profitably with clients overseas and at home. Exporters need to sell in the language, tourist businesses need to employ people who speak their customers' languages, and local government and public services need languages and cultural knowledge to serve our own local communities.
The Diploma in Languages and International Communication will help young people aged 14 to 19 to understand the value of languages and cultural knowledge in these scenarios and many more - bringing language learning to life. This exciting new qualification will teach tomorrow's workforce to acquire new language knowledge independently, and introduce them to the globalised world economy.
